Hörmann Sectional Door Conversion

Deeping Gate Lincolnshire

On this conversion we removed 2 Hörmann doors, & replaced with a new Hörmann sectional door in Decograin Golden Oak. The design is M-ribbed.  LED lighting included along the underside of the lintel which activate when the door is in motion. The door is powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator which comes with LED courtesy light, 2 remote controls & obstruction detection as standard. Peterborough Cambridgeshire

On this conversion we replaced the 2 timber up & over doors with a new Hörmann sectional door in deco-grain Rosewood. The design of the panels is L-ribbed. This door is fully automatic, powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator which comes with 2 remote controls. All building work steel calculations and council liasons are included in our conversions.

Spilsby Lincolnshire

This door conversion was interesting as Hörmann have released a new design in sectional doors. We are one of the firsts in the country to install it of which we were really excited about. As per normal we removed the existing doors & frames. Supported the roof with props prior to removing the central column & installing the new beam. As there is a dwelling above we have to fire board the steel to comply with fire regulations. We then installed the new door. This brand new Hörmann LPU 67 sectional door is 67mm thick. It has far greater thermal values than the standard 42mm door. Above that a lot more heavy duty. This door has the L-ribbed design with a silk grain finish in white. We have also installed a Hörmann thermal frame kit to add further insulation. It is fully automatic & is powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator which has 2 remote controls as standard, LED courtesy light & obstruction detection. All building work, council liasons & steel calculations are included in this project.

Peterborough Cambs

On this conversion we removed both doors, supported the roof & removed the brick column. We then added the additional steel. Additional timber framework was added to support the new framework of the new door. We were then able to install the new Hörmann sectional door. This model has the silk grain finish, L-ribbed panel design and Style 461 glazing with brushed stainless steel surround. This is one of many window designs & really adds that personal touch as well as letting in additional light, also looks very stylish. This door is also powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator which comes with 2 remote controls as standard, LED courtesy light & built in obstruction detection. With all our conversions we include all council liasons, technical drawings for steelwork & building work.

CarTeck Double Garage Conversion

Boston Lincolnshire

This project in Boston was a nice conversion. The old doors were removed, the roof supported & then the brick pillar & old lintels removed. We also removed, replaced & updated the fascias. The door we installed is a CarTeck Teckentrup Sectional door in Anthracite Grey. The panels feature a Centre Rib design & silky smooth finish. The door is 40mm thick & has a thick rubber seal on the bottom to create that weather tight seal. Another great feature of this door is the spring balance sytem. The springs are neatly tucked away in special boxes above the tracks & slide within them so very quiet & contained. The back of the door is in grey white. This door is automatic & powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator. All work certified by the local Building Control.

Threekingham Lincolnshire

This conversion was slightly different whereby the existing steel single beam could remain in place as its loading was sufficient to allow us to safely remove the central brick column. This door was quite a bit wider than the standard width so it comes with additional panel strengtheners to add rigidity, also the wheels & hinges are a lot more substantial giving you confidence that with the extra weight it will work very well. Excellent German engineering means these doors are built to last & need very little maintenance. The door itself is in Golden Oak, the panel design is M-ribbed & the colour match windows with obscure glazing really looks great, effectively letting light into the garage. Spalding Lincolnshire

On this conversion we removed the 2 Henderson doors & replaced with a Hörmann sectional door. The existing steel beam could be used so we didn’t need to replace it. We removed the brick pillar in preparation to install the new door. It is a Hormann M-ribbed design with a Sand grain finish which gives a Matt finish, looks great in White & proving more & more popular. The panels are 42mm thick, so very insulating & strong. The rubber at the bottom of the door makes a good seal as well as the the frame which has a seal strip all the way around. This door is powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator which has 2 remote controls (pictured below) a courtesy light, obstruction detection and manual override in the event of a power cut. Market Deeping Lincolnshire

On this project we were able to use the existing wooden beam and reinforce it to increase its strength using a steel plate. We could then remove the central brick pillar safely & install the new Hörmann RollMatic door. This door is in Jet Black & as standard features 2 remote controls, control board with courtesy light & override release in the event of power failure. In the event of an obstrucion the door will automatically reverse protecting you or the car etc. This model also has LED Lights which are activated when the door is opened or closed.

Spalding Lincolnshire

Another conversion here in Spalding. The same routine is carried out where we support the roof & floor above with shoring props. This enables us to safely remove the existing lintels & centre column. We then install the steel beam & surround with fire proof board. The steel and work are inspected by local authorities and then certified. We then install the door. This model is a Hörmann S Panelled sectional door in woodgrain white finish. The top panel has windows with classic glazing. There are other glass designs available. This door is automatic & is powered by a Hörmann Supramtic operator which features 2 remote controls a courtesy light and obstruction detection.

Conversion Crowland Lincolnshire

This conversion was an interesting project due to its size. The door span is 5.4 m from brick to brick. The doors were removed & the gable end supported with acro props. This enabled us to safely remove the brick pillar in the centre & the existing lintels. We then lifted the new steel beam into position & installed the new Securoglide door.  As with all conversions we comply to building reguations. Liaisons with local authorities & structual engineers are included as part of our conversion service.

Spalding Lincolnshire

This conversion had a Hörmann Rollmatic with glazing elements which is great for getting more light into the garage.  It looks very stylish & is complimented with white PVC to surround the door. These doors have built-in safety so the door will stop if obstructed. They come with 2 remote controls as standard & an illuminated wall unit. Topped with a 10 year door finish warranty & 5 year motor & parts warranty, brings peace of mind.

This project made a huge difference to head room and width. We removed 2 single doors and replaced with a double, fully insulated & fully Automated door.The door is powered by a Hörmann Supramatic operator. All building work and certification included. This door has enhanced the property very nicely, such a difference.

This conversion was a real challenge. We removed 2 single doors and replaced with a double, insulated & fully automated roller door. Headroom and width fully maximised, it has made a real difference. Londonthorpe Lincolnshire

Hörmann Sectional door with windows in stunning Dark Oak, including matching side door. This was an amazing transformation, fully automatic, led lighting, fully insulated & very secure. We have many more photos available if required. All carried out to building regulations.

This is the Supramatic operator by Hormann which opens and closes the door. It comes with 2 remote controls as standard. Battery back up is also available, shown here on the back of the operator. If there is a power failure the door will still operate for a few cycles.

Carteck Double Garage Conversion

West Keal Lincolnshire

Here is another conversion we have just finished. We removed 2 doors and the centre column, replaced the 2 lintels with a steel beam and fitted the new Carteck insulated sectional door. This has the S Panelled design with a wood grain finish. We have more photos & information on request.

Carteck Sectional Door Conversion

Carteck Standard Rib in White Stucco Finish. This was a conversion from 2 standard doors into one on a Compton concrete panelled garage. We removed the centre column and fitted a Carteck Sectional door, fully automated by a Hormann Supramatic operator. This door is 40mm thick and moves upwards before turning into the garage, perfect for valuable driveway space.
